DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, May 13\, 1-2:30pm \nMica Daurie\, T.R.A.N.S\, Trans/Non-Binary Rights Advocacy Nova Scotia \nBeing a queer entrepreneur today can mean navigating visibility\, leadership\, and business growth in a shifting and at times hostile social climate. This 90 minute session\, hosted by 2SLGBTQIA+ community advocate and human rights expert Mica Daurie\, creates space for honest conversation\, practical strategies\, and collective learning. \nYou will learn how changing social and political climates are impacting queer entrepreneurs across Canada and in Atlantic communities\, how to assess and strengthen online and in person safety\, how to respond to difficult situations with clarity and boundaries\, and how to lead your messaging with empathy and confidence in times of rising hate. \nParticipants will hear insights from Mica\, engage in open dialogue\, and leave with practical tools and renewed connection to a supportive network of queer entrepreneurs and organizations. \nÊtre entrepreneur·e queer aujourd’hui signifie souvent naviguer la visibilité\, le leadership et la croissance de son entreprise dans un climat social en transformation et parfois hostile. Cette séance de 90 minutes\, animée par la militante communautaire 2SLGBTQIA+ et experte en droits de la personne Mica Daurie\, offrira un espace propice aux échanges honnêtes\, aux stratégies concrètes et à l’apprentissage collectif. \nVous apprendrez comment les changements sociaux et politiques influencent les réalités des entrepreneur·e·s queer au Canada et dans les communautés atlantiques\, comment évaluer et renforcer la sécurité en ligne et en personne\, comment réagir à des situations difficiles avec clarté et limites\, et comment adopter une communication empreinte d’empathie et d’assurance dans un contexte de montée de la haine. \nLes participant·e·s bénéficieront des perspectives de Mica\, prendront part à un dialogue ouvert et repartiront avec des outils pratiques ainsi qu’un sentiment renouvelé d’appartenance à un réseau solidaire d’entrepreneur·e·s et d’organismes queer. \nRegister/Inscrivez-vous
