Find What You Need

Being an entrepreneur is hard. Being a 2SLGBTQIA+ entrepreneur can be extra hard. The unique things we love about ourselves and each other as queer and trans folks can sometimes make it tough to find opportunities, money, and each other. We want to help change that.

Support our community

The 2SLGBTQIA+ business community is diverse, creative, and critical! We need support to help seed our success and invest in our sustainability. We can’t do it alone.

New Resource: Environmental Scan Highlights

What does entrepreneurship really look like for 2SLGBTQIA+ people across Atlantic Canada?

Between July and December 2025, we led a regional environmental scan to better understand the lived experiences, barriers, and priorities of queer and trans entrepreneurs across the Atlantic provinces.

Through 111 survey responses and 29 in depth interviews, entrepreneurs shared why they start businesses, the barriers they face, and what kinds of supports actually make a difference. Key themes include access to funding, mentorship, mental health, bilingual supports, rural realities, and the need for relationship centred approaches.

This scan is shaping the design, governance, and early priorities of the Queer Atlantic Business Hub. Download the Environmental Scan Highlights to learn what we heard and what comes next:
